Bodu Bala Sena has taken up the Halal food issue against Muslims in Sri Lanka to generate opposition in the midst of Muslim Countries and to force more than ten Muslim member countries of UN Human Rights Council not to vote in favor of Sri Lanka against the forth coming US sponsored procedural resolution.
Reports revealed that Bodu Bala Sena works very discreetly with the opposition political parties and has planned to create problem for the Muslims in the country, which would reverberate in the midst of the Muslim countries, urging them to vote against Sri Lanka - a very subtle move, ingeniously devised move against Sri Lanka. 
Furthermore, it is believed that Bodhu Bala Sena will contest in the next Presidential election and expect to poll over 250,000 Sinhala Buddhist votes, to split the Sinhala Buddhists block votes of President Mahinda Rajapaksa, to help the opposition leader Mr Ranil Wickremasinghe to defeat president Rajapaksa in the forthcoming Presidential election - expected in the year 2015 - 16. 

Leaked information revealed that Buddhist clergies in the Bodhu Bala Sena are clandestinely working hand in gloves with the opposition political parties to put an end to Mahinda Rajapaksa and the ruling United Peoples Freedom Alliance Government.

Founders of this organization are Ven.Kirama Vimalajothi Thera and Ven. Galagodatthe GnanasaraThera. They had begun this organization in July 2012. 

Chief of Bhodu Bala Sena is Ven. Kirana Vimalajothi Thera. Secretary of Bodhu Bala Seana is Ven. Galagadatthea Gnanasara Thera. Other executive committee members are Ven. Haputhalea Paghgasara Thera, Ven. Vitharandheniyea Nandha Thera and Dilantha Vithanage (Lay Member).

Though according to Bodhu Bala Sena, they are non political and an organization to protect Buddhism and Sinhalese, however it is said that they are deeply rooted in politics with clear goals and strategy against President Mahinda Rajapaksa and UPFA Government.

Bodhu Bala Sena had organized several massive protest campaigns against Muslims, and against their Halal Foods in many cities. 

Today, most of the people are talking about this Buddhist organization called ‘Bodhu Bala Sena’ or the Buddhist power force.

Lot of Buddhists are joining them, especially Sinhala Buddhist youths. Bodhu Bala Sena Volunteer force is very aggressive. 



They have planed many projects:

1. Bodu Bala Sena Buddhist Leadership Academy
With this institute they hope to teach history, Buddhism and literature, and gradually impart Buddhist chauvinism among Buddhist children. 

2. Bodu Bala Sena Volunteer Force
Any Buddhist can join this volunteer force and it is suspected it is gradually developing as a militant organization to protect Buddhism.

3. Bodu Bala Sena Health Development Program
They hope to train physical and mental health among the Buddhist people according to Sri Lankan way.
4. Bodu Bala Sena Legal Aid

They want to secure rights of Buddhist and give them legal advice if they need.
5. Bodu Bala Sena Buddhist Development Bank
The bank will help to develop Buddhist business. They will open some international markets for Buddhist businessmen.
6. Bodu Bala Sena Buddhist Development Trust Fund 
There will be a trust fund to help rural temples and rural people who live in poverty.

7. Bodu Bala Sena Social Integration Program 
Bodhu Bala Sena will create mutual relationship between religions and nationalities.

8. Bodu Bala Sena Business Network/ Buddhist Business Congress
To build a good businessman according to Buddhism, there will be a net work among them. This will help young Buddhist entrepreneurs to develop their own businesses. After that there will be a new union of businessmen.
According to Bodu Bala Sena these are all suggestions they plan to develop and to protect Buddhism in the island.
But can they do it ? In the past many organizations founded to protect Buddhism, but they all failed to fulfill needs of Buddhists, but they easily ended up in achieving their political strategy. 

Some Buddhist monks entered parliament, but they have failed create any impact on the Sinhala- Buddhists public. If Bodhu Bala Sena wants to protect Buddhism, first they must clearly display that they haven’t any inclination to politics, political parties and politicians.

Can Bodhu Bala Sena disprove these allegations against them and prove that they are purely functioning to protect Buddhism and the Buddhist in the island?
